Milk Production
During the period of suckling lambs, your level 4 ewe will produce milk:

Milking

When your ewe produces milk you must milk it. You will be informed of this by an icon next to the ewe to be milked. It is advised to milk your ewe each day or you will lose your daily production.

[milking available]

From now on it is possible to simultaneously milk all the dairy ewes in one's sheepfold by checking the box on the left of their name then clicking on the button to milk. Or you can milk your ewes one at a time by clicking on the icon which appears under the picture of each dairy ewe. Once the action has been carried out, the draft icon looks like this :

Storage of milk

After milking, the milk is stored in a pot having a maximum capacity of 3 litres.

[full milk pot]

You can then fill empty feeding bottles available from the hardware store or the market. You need 0.3 litres to fill a feeding bottle. Milk can then either be sold at the market, or given to your sheep.

To fill an empty feeding bottle, click above. A drop down menu will appear in place of your milk pot allowing you to choose the number of feeding bottles you wish to fill. Once selected, click on OK. If you have sufficient milk, you will get the selected number of feeding bottles full of milk.

Caution : If your ewe is milked when the milk pot is already full, the milk obtained is lost!

Benefit of milk

Once stored in a feeding bottle, you can give milk to your sheep. This milk will have beneficial effects on your animals. The effects are as follows:
A sheep cannot drink more than one feeding bottle per day... more would be pure greediness!
