Cheese dairies

A cheese dairy is a royal sheepfold specialising in the production of milk and cheese. There are consequently only dairy ewes found there. Cheese dairies are sometimes located at the same place as the royal sheepfold, in this case both wool and cheese are produced at the same time, but the sheep are located in separate parts of the same sheepfold.

Ewes are milked each day.

Dairy Levels

At 25 litres of milk produced, the ewe acquires the no-claims bonus Milkmaid II (+50% milk).

At 75 litres of milk produced, the ewe acquires the no-claims bonus Milkmaid III (+100% milk).

Cheeses available according to rank

Here are the cheeses which are available according to the rank of a ewe. When a ewe begins a new cheese, this one is of a level lower or equal to that of its rank (the more it goes up in levels, the less the chances to start a cheese of low level).

A cheese is prepared in 2 stages :

• At first it is necessary to mix together the quantity of milk (Litres parameter)
• Then it is necessary to await the maturation of the cheese (Maturation parameter)

During maturation the ewe continues to produce milk, which goes towards making the next cheese.

The number of points brought by the maturation of a cheese is a function of the base indicated in this table as well as the quality of the produced milk.
