Beehives
Last updated 2 April 2009.

[beehive] You have acquired a beehive thanks to the Enchanted Shop, congratulations!

You could soon collect your own honey and resell it or it can be used to defend yourself against other insects.

Your beehive comes complete with bees. Since a beehive is inhabited by bees, it produces honey.
[honeybee] There are several bee species in existance although most widespread is the common honeybee (provided with your beehive).

The species of bee has an effect on two main parameters :
  • the speed of honey production
  • the air attack coefficient
The common honeybee produces honey relatively quickly (1 pot in 8 days) but is weak in defence, for example against wasp attacks.

It is possible to find a queen bee along with her swarm, then to resell them, or conversely to buy another queen and swarm, and to put them in the beehive. Different species will undoubtedly soon be findable on walks.

Honey

[honey pot] Honey pots are an excellent means of defending oneself against flies and wasps. If one of these insects visits a sheepfold where a honey pot has been left out, instead of attacking the sheep it will eat a little honey from the pot, which diverts its attention from the sheepfold.

Once the honey pot is placed as a trap it lasts for 8 days. An invading insect has 1 chance in eight to remain stuck inside the honey pot and killed.

Honey is freely resaleable at the marketplace and the auctions.
