Welcome to the guide for all new apprentice-wizards. If you know absolutely nothing about magic but wish to learn, you are in the right place !
Once your sheep is sufficiently intelligent (one point), you can then initiate him or her in magic. To do this, you must pay for your sheep to attend Magic School. This will be for one day initially, but as your sheep progresses in magic levels it can be away for up to several days at a time. Although magic training appears to be expensive in fact the great majority of the Magic School fee will be refunded to you by the kingdom.
Once your sheep returns, you will be able to buy a magic cave for the moderate sum of 200 fetis. It is in the magic cave that all magic is carried out, and you will have access to the various areas which are as follows :
Principles of Spell Casting.
There are parchments on sale in the haunted cave, or that one can find whilst on a walk, or that one will be able to buy in the magic shop. Using these parchments, you can carry out three actions :
- Cast the spell
- Memorize the spell and cast it later
- Understand/learn the spell to write it down in the Book of Magic.
These actions will cost you magic energy (or mana), that you will be able to recover after a good night's sleep or by drinking special potions, available from the magic shop.
When you write down one or more spells in your Book they are there permanently (the bug is fixed). From this Book you can carry out 2 actions :
- Cast the spell
- Memorize the spell and cast it later.
BUT, to be able to cast spells you must firstly make up a recipe of all the required ingredients in a container (either a bag or a flask).
This spell recipe is written in your Book. If you use the wrong ingredients or wrong combinations then your spell will fail, and the ingredients will be lost, with no results.
These actions will cost you magic energy, which you will be able to recuperate after a good night's sleep or by drinking special potions.
The energy used to transform ingredients into spells is translated into experience which will enable you to progress up the magic levels. As your sheep reaches each new magic level, it must go away for another period at Magic School, which will require payment to be made but which is again subsidised by the Kingdom. Please note that it is impossible to learn, write or understand a spell which is at a level higher than that of the sheep. A list of all spells is available in this article.
The Haunted Cave

It is here where you can buy ingredients and items necessary for magic :
- parchments
- containers
- the ingredients (liquids and solids)
You can also access the consignment service, where an old man will buy your empty flasks for 0.5 fetis each.
Please note, certain items are very expensive, be sure of why you are buying them, it is not possible to resell them. All these items can undergo shortages.
The Area of Spell Preparation.

It is here that you prepare your spell recipes, so as to be able to cast spells. Once your ingredients and your containers have been bought from the Haunted Cave or found on a walk, they can be used in this area. |
To prepare your potion, select a whole container (flask or bag) by clicking on its icon, then click on the ingredient which you wish to add. You can do this for several items, adding them into the bag or flask. Once you are done, just click on validate modifications to confirm your additions, and give your container a name so that you know what the ingredients are for.

It is here that a list of your sheep able to practise magic is found. In this area you can follow the progress of your sheep (magic experience is shown), and supervise their magic energy. |
The detail of points XP and the number of experience points necessary for progressing to the next magic level are also shown there. You can also cast spells that have been memorised earlier.
The Spell Book.

It is in this area where you cast your spells. All the parchments which you bought from the haunted cave are indexed there, as are all those which you wrote down in the book. |
To choose what you will do with a parchment, all you need to do is to click on the icon with the wand. |

Three actions are then proposed :
- Memorize the spell for casting later.
- Cast the spell immediately.
- Understand/learn the spell and write it down in your book.
According to the quantity of remaining magic power and the magic ability of your sheep, the action taken will then succeed or fail. On the other hand once the spell is registered in your book, it remains there indefinitely, and you can have access to it constantly by clicking on "the book".
